A C T A E O N

Meaning: Hunter. In ancient greek mythology Actaeon was a hunter dismembered by his own dogs

Nyxx comes from a long bloodline that has existed for centuries, beginning with the Geváudan—a legendary pack of Lycans whose name became infamous in 1245 AD, later gaining even more notoriety in the 1700s, thanks to Deacon Geváudan. Over time, the Geváudan bloodline intermingled with humans, causing their Lycan genes to become nearly recessive.

By the 1300s, a group called Actaeon emerged from these near-humans, unaware of their diluted Lycan heritage.

Despite the dilution, the ancestral trait of untold aggression persisted. Actaeon became a feared name among non-humans; hunters, trained like soldiers from youth. Comprising multiple generations and families, Actaeon has always been, and continues to be, at the forefront of this relentless pursuit.
